Full description
Imagine Cala Corsara half-deserted. This fantasy is soon reality by taking part in our excursion in a vintage gozzo!
The Captain looks forward to accompanying you on a discovery of theLa Maddalena Archipelago, telling you stories and anecdotes of the area that only a true Sardinian sea dog knows. Navigation will alternate between swimming and land stops in the most splendid natural settings, from Cala Coticcio to Piscine di Budelli.
We will then land in Cala Corsara at the end of the day, when this earthly paradise will seem to be reserved (almost) just for us!
What we will do
Please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time at your chosen boarding point, either La Maddalena or Palau (SS).The crew will be there to welcome you aboard a traditional vintage gozzo, ready to set sail on the Sardinian seas!
Once all passengers have boarded – first at La Maddalena and then at Palau – the sailing experience itself will begin at 10. 00. Bidding farewell to the island of La Maddalena and sailing past the island of Santo Stefano, we’ll head towards the island of Caprera: it is here that our first swimming stop, lasting around 40 minutes, will take place, off the coast of the famous Cala Coticcio – also known as Sardinia’s ‘Little Tahiti’ – or at the Capitano’s Pools.
Back on board, we’ll continue exploring the island of Caprera, docking at the old military pier of the Batteria di Candeo: for those who wish, there will be the opportunity to take part in a guided tour to explore the fortifications, during a 30-minute walk along a path framed by the rocky landscape. Alternatively, you can make the most of the stop ashore for a dip in a sheltered spot hidden from the general public, as well as for a packed lunch on the cliffs. The stop at Candeo will last approximately 1½ hours.
We’ll then continue on to the Natural Pools of Budelli for yet another swimming stop lasting around 30 minutes; we’ll also be sure to pass by the famous (and unmissable) Spiaggia Rosa. And here we are, arriving at Cala Corsara on the island of Spargi, just as the last boat is already on its way back: we’ll therefore be the last to enjoy the almost deserted beach, all to ourselves for about 2 hours!
There is a bar service on board, so as well as your own packed lunch brought from home, you can enjoy the on-board cuisine for an additional charge payable on board: the Captain usually serves a pasta dish with tuna and pesto, called ‘pennette alla roccia verde’ in honour of the landscape and colours of the archipelago.
We’ll finally return to the meeting point at around 6. 00 pm. The experience will last a total of 8 hours.
