Discover the secrets of the south-west coast of theIsland of Elba with a boat tour that will take you from Lacona-Capoliveri to the Grotta Azzurra.
This tour is much more than a simple boat trip, it is a real journey of discovery of the island's nature, flora and fauna, led by a Tuscany Region Environmental Guide.
So let yourself be lulled by the waves, relax, listen to the guide's tales, dive into the clear waters for snorkelling, and spend half a day among nature, sport and relaxation!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before 9. 00 am at the small harbour of Margidore, in Lacona – Capoliveri (LI) on the Island of Elba.
We’ll set sail on a boat that can accommodate up to 12 people, so it’s a small group to make the most of the experience and interact with the crew, who are always on hand to offer assistance and reveal all the secrets of Elba.
We’ll sail westwards, staying as close to the coast as possible so we can get a good view of the landscape. Along the way, the guide will entertain us with explanations of the most interesting aspects of nature, geology and marine biology.
We’ll stop several times for swimming and snorkelling, under the supervision of the instructor, who’ll point out the best spots for observing marine life. We’ll visit the Grottina dell’Acqua, the Grotta del Vescovo, the Grotta Azzurra – where we’ll be able to swim inside – and finally the Scoglio della Triglia.
The excursion will last approximately 4 hours and will end with our return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 6 years old and up. It is not necessary to know how to swim, you just need to be comfortable with the water given the swimming and snorkelling stops.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

This activity can be booked from April to October and is confirmed once a minimum of 6 participants have been reached.
The tour takes place on board a boat measuring 10 metres long by 3 metres wide, featuring a sun deck at the bow and a shaded central area with a table and seating. The boat does not have on-board toilets.
Dogs are not permitted on board.
The meeting point is on the Island of Elba; those booking from the mainland must arrange their ferry journey in advance to reach it. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport during the excursion times. On-site parking is limited, so we recommend arriving well in advance; alternatively, paid parking is available in the centre of Lacona, about a 10-minute walk away.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
