Private boat tour "Riviera of Ulysses" from Sperlonga to Gaeta

Set off on ahalf-day boat trip from Sperlonga to Gaeta, an experience combining relaxation, nature, history and legend. You will discover the Riviera di Ulisse Regional Park, a special place with breathtaking landscapes.

You will sail slowly along the coast on board a private boat, passing bays, coves, and suggestive caves and stopping at the most beautiful spots for a refreshing swim and some snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters.

This sea walk will have the flavour of a journey through history as well as nature. You will admire from the sea the vestiges of the ancient Roman Empire, the remains of Tiberius' villa and what, according to legend, is Ulysses' ship, moored in the Gulf of Gaeta.

What we will do

The tour will depart at the time chosen at the time of booking from Sperlonga, one of the pearls of the Latium coastline, a village rich in charm and history. As we leave the port we will admire from the sea the Grotto of Tiberius, adorned with sculptures depicting the exploits of Ulysses and accompanied by the remains of the emperor's villa.

We will continue along Via Flacca, an ancient coastal road with medieval towers and natural caves. The route will take us to the wonderful Grotta Azzurra, one of the most beautiful unspoilt bays in the area. It will be time to dive into the water! Those who wish can bring a mask and flippers to do some snorkelling, while the more daring can explore the inside of the cave by swimming.

After the half-hour stop, we will depart for Gaeta, to take a closer look at the famous Montagna Spaccata, a very special natural attraction, on which stands the Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity, built on a rock wedged between two cliffs and suspended over the deep blue sea.

The second stop will be at the Pozzo del Diavolo (Devil's Well), a cave with a very special shape, where we can enjoy another refreshing swim and explore the seabed of theMonte Orlando Marine Protected Area. We will then continue into the Gulf of Gaeta, admiring the neo-Gothic Temple of San Francesco, which overlooks the sea in all its majesty.

Throughout the tour, the guide will entertain us with information, descriptions and tales of stories and legends. On the way back to Sperlonga, the crew will offer us a delicious slice of pizza by the slice, with which to refresh ourselves after the day's 'exertions'. The excursion lasts four and a half hours.

This activity is open to all, with no age limit (not recommended for pregnant women and babies).

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.

The activity can be booked from April to October and is reserved for private groups of a maximum of 12 people.

It is recommended to book the excursion in the morning shift, as the afternoon is more prone to sudden winds.

The boat is equipped with a changing room, emergency toilet, shower for rinsing, life jackets, baywatch, shade canopy and ladder for entering the water. Unfortunately, there are no access facilities for wheelchair users.

Young children must be in the arms of an adult while sailing. There are three stops: one of half an hour and two of about 15 minutes each.
