A sailing experience, only for real men and women of the sea.
Yes, because this is not just an excursion to discover the main attractions of the Gulf of Gaeta. And in fact, during the navigation, a skipper and instructor will not fail to entertain you with a sailing lesson, at the end of which you can even try your hand at holding the helm!
An experience of more than 2 hours, to which you can toast with an aperitif on board.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Gaeta (LT) from July to September or in Formia (LT) from October to June. I am your skipper and sailing instructor and will welcome you on board my offshore sailing boat!
Once all participants have finished boarding and the boat has been prepared, it will be time to set sail to discover the Gulf of Gaeta. Depending on the weather conditions of the day, the itinerary could include Montagna Spaccata, Punta Stendardo and Gaeta Vecchia (usually in the winter season) or theArchaeological Area of Gianola and the Grotta delle Sette Cannelle (usually in the summer season). In the summer season there is also a bathing stop, during which it will be possible to use the SUP on board.
During the sailing trip, I will entertain you with a real sailing lesson: I will teach you the elementary principles of sailing (the spaces of the boat, equipment on board, basic techniques, basic manoeuvres, rules for safe sailing) and you will learn how to adjust the sails. And yes, you'll even experience the thrill of holding the fear!
An aperitif (included) will also be served on board, with a glass of bubbly accompanied by local products including bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil, tiella di Gaeta, dried sausage, buffalo mozzarella, olives, and other delicacies depending on the availability of the day.
We will then return to the meeting point. The boat trip will last 2 hours; the experience will last approximately 2 ½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 5 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
No sailing experience is required to participate in this activity.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
Attention. The meeting point changes according to the period of the experience. From July to September it will be in Gaeta (LT ) while from October to June it will be in Formia (LT).
The experience is available from April to December and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Theboat is an ocean-going sailing boat, model Balanzone, 9 metres long; it is equipped with a toilet and sun shower. In the summer period there is a SUP (capacity 2 persons) on board for the participants.
A maximum of 1 small to medium-sized dog is allowed on board.
If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to inform them. Thechildren's aperitif includes a soft drink, usually Coke and orangeade.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
