Full description
Explore the Riviera dei Ciclopi, the scene of Ulysses' adventures, on a half-day sailing excursion.
In the company of an experienced skipper, you will sail between the majestic stacks of Acitrezza and the clear waters of the Bay of Arcile, where you can dive into a dreamlike sea and relax with an aperitif on board.
It will be a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of Catania from a new perspective!
What we will do
Departure is at 9 a.m. in Catania, where we will meet the skipper who will accompany us on this excursion. We will get on the sailboat and leave the port heading towards the Faraglioni of Acitrezza or the Bay of Arcile, depending on weather and wind conditions.
During the navigation, we will admire the beautiful Riviera dei Ciclopi, one of the richest areas of Sicily in terms of history and legends, and, having arrived at our destination, we will drop anchor for a bathing stop of about an hour. Between dips in the clear waters, we will also sunbathe on deck.
Back on board, the skipper will offer us an aperitif of local products such as rice salad, cheese, cold cuts and fruit accompanied by beer, wine or water. After that, we will have another couple of hours to swim or relax on board with our new companions.
Finally, we will depart in the direction of the port, with the skipper who will tell us curiosities and stories about these places. We will return to Catania around 14.00, after about 5 hours of touring.

You will be on board a 12-metre PHOENIX II sailing boat, which can carry a maximum of 6 people in addition to the crew. Equipped with a photovoltaic panel to recharge the batteries and keep the refrigerator running while sailing, it has two cabins and two bathrooms with a double bed in the dinette. It also has a toilet and a kitchen with fridge.
Dogs, even large dogs, are allowed on the boat.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
