Forget the city lights and set sail from Palermo for an extraordinary tour under the firmament!
On board a sailing boat and in the company of an experienced astronomer, you will observe the stars with a professional telescope on a unique 4-hour excursion.
We look forward to a journey that will take you... among the stars!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at 9.30 p.m. in Palermo, where the skipper will welcome us and seat us on board theDufour sailboat . With him will be an astronomer who will guide us in an exploration of the night sky.
Leaving the harbour behind, we will venture out into the open sea away from the city lights. Here, with the horizon completely clear, the sky will show itself in all its splendour.
Our guide will introduce us to the wonderful world of astronomy, explaining how to recognise the main constellations and the myths that accompany them. With a professional telescope, we will observe fascinating details of the moon, Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons, discovering secrets that would escape the naked eye.
During the evening we will also enjoy a selection of typical Sicilian sweets, accompanied by local liqueurs and coffee (included).
Finally, we will return to the port of Palermo around 1.30 am. The experience lasts a total of about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is accessible to people with mobility problems.
Suitable for pregnant women up to the 5th month.

The tour is bookable from March to November and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
You will be on board an 11-metreDufour sailboat equipped with everything you need to enjoy your day at sea: bathrooms, galley, refrigerators, spacious sundecks at the bow, and spacious cockpits with comfortable seating and a table, perfect for relaxing while sailing. Dogs are not allowed on board.
You stay barefoot or wear white-soled shoeson board.
