Full description
Discover the secrets of the south-east coast of theIsland of Elba with a half-day boat tour that will take you from Lacona to the Costa dei Gabbiani, passing by the mines of Capoliveri.
This is not a simple boat trip but a real journey into the history and nature of this wonderful land, led by an Environmental Guide from the Region of Tuscany.
On board the boat you can relax, admire the panorama, listen to the guide's stories and descriptions, and dive into the water for swimming and snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters.
What we will do
We will depart at 9:00 am from the small port of Margidore, in Lacona - Capoliveri (LI). The boat can accommodate a maximum of 12 people, so a small group to enjoy the experience to the full and interact with the crew, who are always ready to give assistance and tell all the secrets of theIsland of Elba.
We will sail eastwards, very close to the coast, so that we can admire the landscape and all that it holds. We will be guided in theobservation of nature, flora and fauna, and we will be able to spot Elba's wild goats. There will be informative moments dedicated to geology and marine biology, of interest to adults and children.
We will pass the most beautiful beaches on the south-east coast, stopping several times to swim and snorkel, accompanied by an instructor who will guide us in observing marine life.
Among the various points of interest we will encounter along the way will be the Spiaggia Innamorata (Innamorata Beach), the Bue Marino cave, the Punta Calamita and Capoliveri mines, the Gemini Islands, and the Costa dei Gabbiani, a wild stretch characterised by sheer cliffs and unspoilt coves. The last stop will be the Gemini Islands, an ideal nesting habitat for herring gulls and Corsican seagulls.
The activity will last about four hours and will end with a return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone, with no age limit.
Children under the age of 4 travel free of charge. You do not have to count them as participants, but you must report their presence to the organisation after booking.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
This activity can be booked from April to October and is confirmed when there are at least 6 participants.
The tour takes place on board a10 m long by 3 m wideboat, equipped with a sundeck at the bow and a shaded central part with table and seats. The boat has no toilet facilities.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport during the excursion times. There are a limited number of parking spaces on site, so it is advisable to arrive some time in advance; alternatively, parking spaces are available for a fee in the centre of Lacona about 10 minutes' walk away.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
