Full description
TheHermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, one of the main attractions of Lake Maggiore, as you have never seen it before: on board a Canadian canoe!
Join our canoe tour: together with a guide you will venture along the wall, up to the scenic monastery. Then land at the Pirates' Lair and enjoy an aperitif before paddling off again.
A 3-hour experience, available all year round as you paddle comfortably and do not get wet!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Arolo (VA). I, your guide, will be there to welcome you!
On your arrival I will hand over the Canadian canoe and the rest of the equipment; I will not fail to provide you with all the useful information on how to use it so that you can enjoy this experience without worries.
We will then be ready to venture out into the waters of Lake Maggiore, paddling along the cliffs towards theHermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso: a scenic monastery overhanging the water, which will greet us from above. On board our Canadian canoe, we can even get close and touch the wall in which the religious complex is embedded!
We will continue our navigation, encountering Banksy-style street-art works and a wreck stranded on the rocks along the way. We will then reach the Pirates' Cove, a secret place that cannot be reached by land, where we will stop for a break and enjoy an aperitif (included) of prosecco, soft drinks and assorted snacks; alternatively, the aperitif can take place right on the canoe.
We will then return on board our Canadian canoe to return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 7 years of age. Participants aged 7 to 17 years have a discounted rate; please contact us to make a reservation.
No experience is required to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience takes place from January to December subject to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion. Please note that this activity is available all year round as you are comfortably seated on board a Canadian canoe with no risk of getting wet.
The excursion takes place in a 2 or 3-seater Canadian c anoe depending on the number of participants.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
