Full description
There is a reason why Lake Como attracts tourists from all over the world. In fact, many more than one: enchanted villages, period villas, botanical gardens and crazy views.
What if we told you there was a way to admire all this, far from the crowds of people?
We'll be waiting for you in Varenna to set sail with our skipper on board a sailing catamaran, ready to help you discover the most evocative corners of the Lario.
A 2-hour experience that will end with an aperitif on board included!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Varenna (LC). Awaiting us will be the skipper and crew who will accompany us on our excursion aboard a fascinating wooden sailing catamaran.
Once set sail, we will point the bow towards the centre of the lake to explore the Como branch. We will pass Menaggio and Tremezzo, admiring the magnificent silhouette of Villa del Balbianello in the background. We will then reach the famous Bellagio for an unmissable photo stop from the water, the best way to immortalise the 'pearl of the lake' without the throngs of tourists.
We will continue towards the western part of Bellagio to move on to the Lecco branch. Here we will discover Pescallo, a hidden and silent old fishing village, a true jewel of yesteryear. During the navigation towards Limonta or Lierna, we will enjoy an aperitif on board: we will be served a glass of prosecco accompanied by a platter of mixed snacks to enjoy in company.
The tour will continue up the eastern side, where we will be able to admire the majesty of Villa Monastero and its botanical gardens reflected in the water, before returning to the pier of departure.
The activity will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is recommended from 8 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible, but can accommodate passengers with reduced mobility.
Other information
The activity takes place from May until October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants. The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is a wooden sailing catamaran, 9 m long and equipped with a kitchen, toilet and central table. On board, one stays without shoes.

Dogs are welcome on board, subject to prior notification.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
