Full description
If there is one thing Sardinia is known for all over the world, it is undoubtedly the sea. And on hundreds of kilometres of coastline, the Gulf of Orosei is certainly among the most sparkling corners.
What better way to visit the many cliffs, caves and natural creeks than directly from the sea aboard a comfortable rubber dinghy? Join our one-day tour to discover the beautiful Gulf of Orosei.
If Cala Luna and Cala Mariolu aren't yet in your top 10 list of the most beautiful places you've ever seen, maybe it's time to let them in!
What we will do
We’ll meet at 8. 30 am at the marina in Santa Maria Navarrese, 30 minutes before departure. The captain will welcome us and take us aboard the dinghy, the best way to get a close-up view of the sea stacks, cliffs and natural caves along the coast.
At around 9. 00 am, we’ll cast off and set sail. The first rock formation we’ll spot will be Pedra Longa, just before we enter the magnificent Gulf of Orosei, having passed Capo di Monte Santo. After the first few miles, it will be time for us to get a taste of the sea with a dip at Goloritzè, a beach with natural springs known in Sardinian as ‘s’abbaèe deddai’. The swimming stop will last about 1 hour.
Back on board, we’ll head towards the next gem of the Sardinian coast: Cala Mariolu, where we’ll also be able to take a dip to experience the purity of these waters. Between this cove and Cala Luna, we’ll have the chance to explore the Baunei area, visiting natural caves that would otherwise be inaccessible and marvelling at the Sardinian coastline, which here is a true spectacle of beauty.
Cala Luna will be the northernmost point of our tour. From here, we’ll begin our return journey, making a mandatory stop at Spiaggia dei Gabbiani. During the tour, there’ll also be the chance to visit the Grotta del Fico (ticket not included and to be paid for on site) .
Our final stop before returning to the harbour is the warm waters of Baus, where we’ll be left speechless at the foot of the Giradili cliff, one of the highest in Europe. We’ll be back at the harbour around 5. 00 pm, after an excursion lasting approximately 8 hours.
