Full description
Prepare to set sail for the Gulf of Orosei and to marvel at fairytale coves and caves that look like something out of a fantasy film. Aboard the motorship Don Vincenzo you will depart Cala Gonone for a day tour that will take you straight to the heart of the most iconic Sardinia: Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzé and other hidden gems.
Between beach stops, there will also be a 'cin-cin' moment with a glass of wine and a sweet - because adventure should always be accompanied by a toast. And trust me: after this day, your photo roll will be as full as your heart!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Cala Gonone (NU). Waiting for us will be the crew of the motor vessel Don Vincenzo, on board of which we will spend this day!
Once all passengers have finished boarding, after about 15 minutes we will set sail into the marvellous Gulf of Orosei: on board we will be given amultilingual audio guide, which will describe the natural attractions that we will encounter during the navigation. A toast will also be served, including a glass of wine accompanied by a single-portion sweet.
If the'with Sea Ox Cave' option is selected, this will be the first stop: it is one of Sardinia's most spectacular natural attractions, so called because it was once inhabited by the monk seal. By purchasing the entrance ticket (online or at the ticket office near the meeting point), it is possible to undertake an 800-metre walk inside the southern branch of the cave lasting 50 minutes. If the option "without Sea Ox Cave" is selected, you will descend directly to Cala Luna; if the option "with Sea Ox Cave" is selected, you will arrive at Cala Luna at the end of the visit.
The itinerary will include Sardinia's most beautiful beaches such as Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzé, and Cala Biriala. There will be photo stops, to take a souvenir of these beautiful natural settings, and 3 beach stops lasting about 1.5 hours each (stops will be made in rotation between Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriala and Cala dei Gabbiani). For the 12 noon departure there will be 2 stops on the beach of the same duration.
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last about 7 ½ hours in total.

Attention! The "with Sea Ox Cave" option involves a reduced stop in Cala Luna and in the month of May only, there is no stop in Cala Luna.
The experience takes place from April to October.
The itinerary and duration of the excursion may vary according to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion. In October, only 2 stops on the beach will be made, decided by the captain according to the number of people on the beaches.
The boat is the motor vessel Don Vincenzo, equipped with all on-board comforts including a toilet and bar service (for a fee). The experience may take place on board a different boat according to availability at the organiser's discretion. Beach umbrellas are available on board: contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request free hire.
The fee does not include the environmental contribution to the municipality of Dorgali of €3.00 per person to be paid on site in cash. The environmental contribution is required per person from 0 to 99 years of age. The fee may vary according to municipal directive.
The fee does not include the entrance ticket to the Grotta del Bue Marino, which must be purchased online at enjoydorgali.it or on site at the ticket office near the meeting point. The following is the price list for the Grotta del Bue Marino entrance ticket: Full price (from 11 to 69 years old) €10 from 01\04 to 31\05, €12 from 1\06 to 30\09, €10 from 01\10 to 2\11; Reduced price (from 5 to 10 years old or 70 years old) €5 from 01\04 to 31\05, €6 from 1\06 to 30\09, €5 from 01\10 to 2\11; Free (from 0 to 4 years old). The temperature inside the Grotta del Bue Marino is around 16-18 degrees; we recommend wearing suitable clothing due to the wide temperature range between inside and outside.
Small dogs are allowed on board, but to access the Grotta del Bue Marino they must be in a carrier and are not allowed on the beach.
In the vicinity of the meeting point there is a free car park with a shuttle service at a cost of €3.00 per person (payable locally in cash), which takes just 3 minutes to the embarkation point.
