Full description
Discover the Zingaro Nature Reserve on board a typical Sicilian gozzo on a half-day excursion.
Set off from San Vito Lo Capo and sail with an experienced skipper along this wonderful stretch of coastline with sheer cliffs and several coves one after the other, from Cala dell'Uzzo to Cala del Varo.
Enjoy a dip and a swim in the emerald green sea, relax in the sun and enjoy a small snack with typical sweets. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet in San Vito Lo Capo, where the boat and our skipper will be waiting for us. We will board a 10-metre-long gozzo equipped with an awning and sundeck. We will be able to sit on the comfortable cushions and set sail for the Zingaro Nature Reserve.
A guide will be on board to show us the natural beauty of the reserve's seven kilometres of coastline. We will admire from the boat several coves that follow one after the other, from Cala dell'Uzzo to Cala Berretta, from Cala della Disa to Cala del Varo and Cala Capreria.
Cala dell'Uzzo, for instance, owes its name to the prehistoric cave of the same name, located a few kilometres off the coast. This cove has a beach of white pebbles that create an unforgettable colour contrast with the emerald green sea.
We will also have the chance to admire the Faraglioni of Scopello, three rocky peaks that rise right in front of an ancient tuna fishery and frame an azure blue sea.
Three swimming stops are planned during the excursion. We can take a dip in the coves together with our new companions, relax in the sun and enjoy a little refreshment with drinks, fruit juices and typical sweets made with almond marsala.
The excursion lasts four hours and ends with the return to the starting point.

The tour runs from April to October, weather permitting.
We will be on board a typical Sicilian 10-metre gozzo equipped with an awning, sundeck, ladder cushions, platform, and all the necessary safety devices. Dogs are allowed on board.
Children under 3 can travel free of charge.
