If setting sail and crossing the sea is synonymous with freedom for you too, you will love this excursion! Come to Palermo, board a sailboat and let a skipper take you along Palermo's coastline.
Admire the beauty of Mondello Beach and the Grotta della Regina and snorkel in the clear waters that wash them. Then enjoy the view while savouring a delicious aperitif of typical Sicilian products!

What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Palermo, where our skipper will be waiting for us. After a short introductory briefing of about 10 minutes we will board the boat, a sailboat of about 10.5 metres, and begin the experience.
Leaving the harbour we will proceed with slow sailing, following the perimeter of the coast for about an hour. We will be able to admire Monte Pellegrino, the city's main mountain relief, which falls sheer to the sea. The waters we will cross will be calm and allow us to relax and enjoy the view in complete serenity.
The first destination we reach will be Mondello, characterised by its fine, light-coloured sand. Near the beach we will first stop offshore for 20-25 minutes and dive into the sea armed with mask and snorkel to explore the wonderful waters of the area with a bit of snorkelling.
Immediately after Mondello we will reverse course to explore the bay of Vergine Maria, where we will stop for a second swim stop of 20-25 minutes. We will then sail in the direction of the Grotta della Regina (Queen's Grotto), named after Queen Caroline of Austria who had a private pool built there, carved out of the stone.
During the stop, which lasts about 40 minutes, we will take the opportunity to take another swim and enjoy an aperitif that will include a glass of white wine and a selection of typical Sicilian products.
Once the aperitif is over, we will relax on board while the skipper takes us back to the starting point.
The total duration of the activity is 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone regardless of age. Children under the age of 18 can only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.
Children up to the age of 5 participate free of charge.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to do the activity.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

The activity is available from May to October and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Important! Sailing is only guaranteed if the marine weather conditions allow it, otherwise sailing will be by motorboat.
The boat used during the activity is an approximately 10.5-metre sailboat with two spacious outdoor areas at the bow and stern. In addition, it is equipped with a sunbathing area with cushions, awning, shower, toilet and ladder. It will be necessary to stay barefoot on board.
Theaperitif includes a glass of local white wine and a selection of typical Sicilian products. In case of allergies or intolerances, you can request an alternative by contacting the facility before the activity takes place at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Small and medium-sized dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and paid parking spaces are available nearby.
