Full description
The Sicilian hinterland, between mountains and wilderness, awaits you with our half-day jeep tour to surprise you at every kilometre.
On board a comfortable and safe vehicle and in the company of a local guide, you will drive through wild and inaccessible places, admire the works of A. Presti in Europe's largest open-air museum, Fiumara d'arte, and enjoy local products while lunching in a typical trattoria in Tusa.
This excursion is your chance to experience a different kind of day and to get to know the beautiful Halaesa Valley. So, what are you waiting for to book?
What we will do
The appointment is at 9 a.m. in Cefalù (free pick-up at your hotel or accommodation). We will be welcomed by an expert guide who will accompany us throughout the tour to show us the most enchanting places and natural scenarios of the Halaesa Valley.
Onboard a 4x4, we will travel along impervious paths, valleys and visit the largest open-air museum in Europe, built in the bed of the river of the same name. We will pass along the ancient trazzera that connects Castel di Lucio, a small Sicilian municipality, to Tusa.
On the way, we will have the opportunity to admire the wild nature of Sicily, rich in plant species and animals in the wild.
We will stop for lunch at a typical trattoria and, once we have recovered our energy, we will reach the archaeological site of Arconidea, characterised by ruins dating back to Greco-Roman times.
The tour lasts a total of 5 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is suitable for everyone, but not for pregnant women, as it takes place on rough and uneven trails. The minimum age for participation is 2 years.

The tour can be booked all year round, weather permitting, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
Pick-upat a hotel or accommodation is free of charge only in Cefalù. If you are staying in one of the neighbouring towns, please contact the guide to arrange pick-up at an extra cost or receive advice on how to reach the meeting point in time for the activity. Please note: from May to October the pick-up service is not available.
The jeeps are equipped with a mini-bar and first aid kit.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
