Want to feel like you're in a fairy tale? Well, all you need is a paddle!
You heard right! Because with this kayak tour on Lake Barcis you will explore scenery so beautiful it will seem enchanted: you will enter the gorge of the Rio Caltea, explore the Fairy Cave and learn the basics of paddling in total safety.
You will spend 2 hours between lake, canyon and water exercises with an experienced instructor , perfect for a first kayaking experience!
What we will do
The meeting point is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Cellino di Sotto (PN) . A guide will be waiting for us, who will provide us with all the necessary equipment for the activity (kayak, paddle and life jacket) .
After an initial theoretical briefing we will move with our cars to Lake Barcis, which can be reached in about 15 minutes from the meeting point. Once there, we will begin to get familiar with the kayak , learning how to sit correctly, paddle and move around the water safely.
The first exercises will take place in the calm waters of the lake, ideal for first-time kayakers. The guide will accompany us step by step, teaching us basic paddling techniques and the basic movements for handling the kayak.
Afterwards, we will explore the final part of the gorge of the Caltea stream and the so-called 'Fairy Cave'.
In the course of the experience, we will stop near the lake dam to observe the surrounding landscape or to continue practising the movements and handling of the kayak in the water.
Finally, we will return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 8 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
To participate in the activity, it is necessary to be able to swim and be in good physical shape.
The activity is of an easy level and is also suitable for a first experience in kayaking.
Other information
The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 3 participants.
On site, there are changing rooms with showers and a storage room for valuables. Any personal items essential during the activity can be stored in the guide's waterproof bag.
Any accompanying persons with leashed dogs may wait at the meeting point. Dogs are not allowed during the activity.
Photos and videos of the experience will be taken by the guide and sent free of charge to participants at the end of the activity.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
