You know the film"Pirates of the Caribbean of Sardinia?"
You will be the protagonist of this amazing film, filmed on board a maxi dinghy along the coast of Baunei: in the company of a skipper, you will enjoy sailing and diving in the most spectacular natural settings such as Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzé, Piscine di Venere and many others.
A day at sea in the area known as the'Caribbean of Sardinia'!
What we will do
We will meet at Santa Maria Navarrese(NU) at 8.30 a.m. to check in together with the reception girls. We will then board a maxi dinghy that will allow us to visit places that large boats cannot reach. At 9am we will set off on our tour of the Baunei coast.
We will stop in coves that, according to many, overlook the most beautiful sea in Italy. It is no coincidence that the waters of this stretch of coast are also called the 'Caribbean of Sardinia'. Together with the skipper, we will discover secret bays, historical wrecks and caves that were used by pirates.
While sailing through this natural paradise , we will visit Cala Mariolu, with its pebbles resembling sugared almonds, Cala dei Gabbiani, with its fine, light-coloured sand, Cala Biriala, another jewel that opens up in the Mediterranean maquis, and the Piscine di Venere, with its splendid turquoise water. Finally, we will stop off at Cala Goloritzé, a truly evocative marine protected area with colours that will leave us speechless! At Cala Mariolu, Cala Biriala and Cala Gabbiani we stop directly at the beach for about 1½ hours, while at Cala Goloritzè and Piscine di Venere, which are not accessible to boats, we stop offshore at about 50 metres for 20/30 minutes and can reach the respective beaches by swimming.
Between Cala Mariolu and Cala Biriala we will also have the opportunity to visit the Grotta del Fico (optional and not included).
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits.
Pregnant women are invited to contact the organiser at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate their presence on board and request a priority seat.
The boat is not accessible to people with mobility problems.
Other information
The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Theitinerary and duration of the experience may vary at the organiser's discretion depending on the best weather conditions.
The boats used are maxi rib dinghies from 6.5 metres in length with awning (usually not used during navigation), climbing ladder and stereo. Dogs are not allowed on board.
Admissionto the Grotta del Fico is charged as follows: €10.00 per person from 13 years of age; €5.00 from 6 to 12 years of age; free for children aged 0 to 5 years. The entrance ticket can be purchased on site.
An ecological contribution of €1.00 per person is required, payable in cash on site: you will be helping the Baunei municipality to keep the coves safe and clean.
