Full description
And you, do you know what Blue Zones are? They are geographical areas where people live longer and healthier lives than the global average, with an exceptional concentration of over 100-year-olds.
And Sardinia is just one of them! Discover it by joining our mini cruise with lunch in the Gulf of Orosei: you will sail to natural wonders such as Cala Goloritzé, Cala Mariolu and Cala Luna. There will also be lunch on board, with special menus designed for the occasion.
A one-day experience that you will want to relive another 100 years!
What we will do
We’ll meet at 08: 00 at the meeting point in Arbatax (NU). Once there, we’ll meet the crew, who will welcome us aboard the motor vessel!
Once all passengers have boarded, we’ll set sail at 08: 30 and begin our cruise through the Gulf of Orosei: some of the natural attractions we’ll see include the Islet of Ogliastra, the Pedra Longa rock, the Baus Waterfalls, the Grotta dei Colombi, Cala Scirocco and Cala Tramontana.
Our first stop will be Cala Mariolu, where we’ll go ashore for a beach stop of around 2 hours. Here, you can choose whether to go ashore – with the option to hire a parasol on board – or take part in a guided tour of the Grotta del Fico, a former refuge for monk seals (the tour is optional and tickets can be purchased on board) .
Once back on board, we’ll head for our second stop whilst enjoying lunch on board. The seafood menu includes a mixed selection of starters, a pasta first course, fruit, half a litre of water or a glass of wine per person; the ‘centenarians’ menu includes a mixed selection of Sardinian starters, a pasta first course, fruit, dessert, half a litre of water and a glass of wine per person. The ‘centenarians’ menu’ has been created in collaboration with a nutritionist and biologist, who has studied the dietary habits of centenarians living in Sardinia, one of the world’s Blue Zones!
After lunch, we’ll head to Cala Luna, one of Sardinia’s most famous beaches, where we’ll stop for a swim for about 50 minutes, disembarking directly from the motorboat in front of the famous beach and its large sea caves.
The next stop will be the stunning Cala Sisine. Here, the waters shimmer in various shades of blue and green, creating a spectacular display of colours reflecting in the sunlight. Here, we’ll be able to disembark and enjoy some peace and tranquillity, either by taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters or sunbathing on the beach.
We’ll then round off the tour with a final 50-minute swimming stop from the motorboat in the waters surrounding Cala Goloritzè. Afterwards, the motorboat will turn back to take us to Arbatax, where we’re due to arrive at 5. 00 pm.
The tour lasts approximately 8. 5 hours.
