Speeding along the roads of the Gran Sasso National Park is a privilege for few!
And you can do it too by taking part in our off-road tour: a guide from the Federazione Italiana Fuoristrada (Italian Off-road Federation) will accompany you to discover this corner of Abruzzo while you enjoy the panoramic view of the Gran Sasso.
A2-hour experience to get to know the area in (and with) all the senses!
What we will do
The appointment is at 09:00 at the meeting point in Bazzano, a hamlet in the municipality of L'Aquila. We will be welcomed by the guide, a member of the Italian Off-road Federation, who will accompany us on this adventure on four wheels!
Having gathered all the participants and after an initial presentation, the guide will describe the route we will take. We will then board the off-road vehicle as passengers, ready to enjoy the journey along authorised roads in the Gran Sasso National Park.
We will drive on dirt roads, enjoying the panoramic view of the Gran Sasso that will accompany us along the entire route. At least a couple of stops are planned at points of interest such as theHermitage of Sant'Erasmo and the Peltuinum archaeological site. This will be an opportunity to get to know this corner of Abruzzo better by listening to the guide's stories about the territory, flora and fauna, as well as an opportunity to enjoy a tasty snack produced by the farm organising the experience!
After covering about 37 km, we will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 2 hours.

The experience is suitable from the age of 10; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
The itinerary may vary according to weather conditions at the guide's discretion.
When booking, it is possible to select the"off-road tour" option, which includes what is described in the advertisement, or the"off-road tour + tasting" option, which includes a tote bag containing farm products such as cold meats, cheeses and/or cereals according to seasonality to be tasted during the excursion.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
