The symbol par excellence of Sardinia? The unmistakable nuraghe!
You can visit one by taking part in our quad bike excursion from Domus de Maria: in the company of a guide, you will venture along dirt tracks and through wooded areas until you reach the summit of Monte Sa Perdaia. Right here you will find the nuraghe of the same name, framed by a unique panoramic view that reaches as far as the sea.
A3-hour experience to discover a new (and authentic) corner of Sardinia!
What we will do
The appointment is 20 minutes before 09:00 at the meeting point in Domus de Maria (SU). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this four-wheeled adventure!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over the equipment, the guide will explain the characteristics and operation of the quad bike. This will be followed by a test ride on the track, to get familiar with the vehicle.
And here we are ready for our quad bike excursion: we will say goodbye to the town of Domus de Maria to venture onto the slopes of Mount Sa Perdaia, speeding along a dirt track. Along the way, we will stop at a vantage point overlooking a peculiar crescent-shaped attraction, on which the sun rests at the autumnal equinox, which is said to have been used by the Egyptian people as their first calendar!
Back in the saddle, we will continue to the summit of Mount Sa Perdaia; the ride will last about 50 minutes. From up here we will enjoy a unique panoramic view, all the way to the sea, but the best is yet to come! We will then set off and, after about 15 minutes on a slight incline, we will arrive at the Nuraghe Sa Perdaia, which we will be able to explore.
After this stop, we will return to our vehicle to return to the meeting point along a different route than on the outward journey; after covering about 40 km in total, we will cross the finish line. The experience will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a valid B licence; equivalent foreign licences are accepted. The passenger must be at least 5 years old.
A maximum weight of 160 kg (sum of driver and passenger weight) is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first quad bike excursion.
Other information
The experience takes place from September to June and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 booked quads.
Prior to the start of the excursion, a track driving test will take place; if the participant is not suitable at the discretion of the operator, he/she will not take part in the excursion. Racing, overtaking, skidding or behaviour that could endanger the safety of participants is not permitted.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport; please consult public transport timetables independently.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
