Turn off the engine of boredom, turn on the engine of discovery!
On this 3-hour Gallipoli quad bike tour, history and nature mingle with 'rough' landscapes and authentic flavours. Between dirt tracks and olive groves, you will follow a local guide to discover wild plants, tales of the area and ancient traditions.
The grand finale? A Salento aperitif with a finger-licking oil tasting!
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Gallipoli (LE). Awaiting us will be the guide, ready to explain how to use the quad bike safely before setting off.
After the briefing and the handing over of the helmet, we will hit the gas towards the wildest countryside of Salento: we will cross dirt roads, stretches of asphalt and trulli immersed in the Mediterranean maquis. We will then approach the sea, amidst brushwood and sudden views of the horizon.
Along the way we will make several stops to discover the area up close: the guide will tell us about the history of the Salento and talk about medicinal plants and Mediterranean essences, including the wild caper, typical of this area.
Almost at the end of the tour we will stop for a special moment: a tasting of extra virgin olive oil and typical Salento products, to recharge our batteries with the taste of tradition!
Finally, we will return to the starting point after covering about 8 km. The activity will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 16 years old and hold an A1 or B licence. The passenger must be at least 8 years old.
The excursion is of an easy-medium level and suitable for a first time quad rider.
Other information
The excursion is available from April to October.
The price is per quad; each quad can carry 1 driver or 1 driver and 1 passenger (2 persons). The organiser has 7 two-seater quads available for a total of 14 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
