Full description
Mystery and nature come together in the quad bike tour on the Golgo plateau in Sardinia, a veritable open-air archaeological museum, full of fascination and mysterious presences.
From here, paths wind their way to discover truly suggestive places, such as the Tomb of the Osono Giants, Genna Ramene and 'Su Sterru', the deepest chasm in Europe.
Get behind the wheel of the quad bike through the forests and roads of the plateau for half a day and admire sensational views of the Gulf of Arbatax. Get on board, the adventure starts now!
What we will do
The appointment is in Tortolì (NU) at the time chosen during the booking process . Here you will meet the guide who will explain to you in a briefing of about 30 minutes how to drive the quad bike, a vehicle halfway between a motorbike and an off-road vehicle. Then we will set off on our adventure!
The first stop is the monumental Tomb of the Giants of Osono, in the scenic valley of the same name. It is a typical funerary monument and one of the jewels of Ogliastra's Nuragic heritage.
We then ascend to the Genna Ramene viewpoint, at a height of 500 metres. From this point we will be able to admire the entire valley and the spectacular Gulf of Arbatax. We will then descend through theGolgo Plateau, a green area famous for its incredible views and Mediterranean scrub.
We will visit the Church of San Pietro, which according to legend was built to thank the Saint for having freed the population from a monster, and the nuraghe of Su Sterru near the Golgo chasm, which has always been linked to myths and mysteries.
On the way back, we will pass through Contralba and Santa Maria Navarrese, a famous seaside resort. During the stops on this quad bike tour, which is about 65 km long on mostly dirt road, you will be able to immortalise the landscapes with beautiful photos and videos.
The tour lasts four hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is open to everyone, from 10 years of age for passengers. The driver of the quad bike must be over 18 years of age and hold a B driving licence (or equivalent foreign driving licence).
Other information
The quad bike excursion is available from April to November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 booked quads.
It is permitted to swap the driving of the quad bike, provided that both drivers have a B licence. In this case, they must present the documents of both during registration.
The fee indicated refers to the quad bike. Each quad can carry two persons, a driver and a passenger. There are 4 quad bikes available, with a maximum total of 8 participants.
