Mystery and nature come together in the quad bike tour on the Golgo plateau in Sardinia, which is regarded as an open-air archaeological museum or a place full of reminders, sensations and mysterious presences.
From here, several paths lead to exceptional landscapes and the discovery of truly suggestive places, such as the Tomb of the Giants of Osono, Genna Ramene and 'Su Sterru', the deepest chasm in Europe.
Take the quad bike through the forests and roads of the plateau for half a day and admire sensational views of the Gulf of Arbatax. Get in the saddle, here we go!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the meeting point in Tortolì, in the province of Nuoro, at the time chosen at the time of booking. Here I will give you a briefing of about half an hour to explain how to ride the quad bike, a vehicle halfway between a motorbike and an off-road vehicle. Once we have finished, we will set off on our adventure.
From Tortolì we will arrive at the first stop on the route, the monumental Tomb of the Giants of Osono, in the scenic valley of the same name. It is one of the jewels of Ogliastra's Nuragic heritage, a typical funerary monument consisting of collective burials.
We then climb to the Genna Ramene viewpoint, at a height of 500 metres. From this point you can admire the entire valley and the spectacular Gulf of Arbatax with the beautiful coast of Baunei. We will descend through themountain plateau of Golgo, a green area famous for its breathtaking views, vegetation and Mediterranean scrub.
We will visit the Church of San Pietro, which according to legend was built to thank the Saint for having freed the population from a monster, and the nuraghe of Su Sterru near the Golgo chasm, which has always been linked to myths and mysteries.
On the way back, we will pass through Contralba and Santa Maria Navarrese, a seaside resort on the central-eastern coast of Sardinia. During the stops on this quad bike tour, which is about 65 km long on mostly dirt road, you will be able to immortalise the landscapes with beautiful photos, a memory that will remain in your heart for a lifetime.
The tour lasts four hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is open to everyone, from 10 years of age for passengers. The driver of the quad bike must be over 18 years of age and hold a B driving licence (or equivalent foreign driving licence).
Other information
The quad bike excursion is available from April to November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 booked quads.
It is permitted to swap the driving of the quad bike as long as both drivers have a B licence. In this case, they must present the documents of both during registration.
The fee indicated refers to the quad bike. Each quad can carry two persons, a driver and a passenger. There are 4 quad bikes available, with a maximum total of 8 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
