Beautiful outside, good inside! Monferrato is exactly that: a mix of incredible landscapes and flavours. But don't let the quiet of the UNESCO vineyards fool you; in the woods lurks a king who doesn't like the spotlight: the truffle!
Together with a local guide, you will walk the off-road trails of the area and meet a real trifolau, the fog man, to enjoy a 4-hour experience in the footsteps of this precious mushroom.
What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time at the meeting point in Conzano (AL). Awaiting us will be the guide who will accompany us on our excursion in the footsteps of the truffle!
Before turning on the engines, we will attend a safety briefing and receive the necessary equipment, including helmet and balaclava, to tackle the off-road trails in the best possible way.
Once we are ready, we will set off in a group, speeding through the hills of Monferrato. We will ride along dirt tracks and scenic roads, immersing ourselves in a landscape of vineyards and woods. The guide will lead us along a route that will have all the air of an open-air truffle museum, where we will begin to understand the importance of this precious mushroom for the territory.
The highlight will be an encounter with the trifolaio (trifolau), the legendary local truffle hunter. We will not just be doing a simple truffle hunt, but a real lesson in rural life: the secrets of truffle hunting with total respect for the environment and animals will be revealed to us. If we are in the right time of the season, we will attend a practical search demonstration, otherwise we will listen to stories and curiosities handed down through generations that will bring us into symbiosis with nature.
We will then continue our tour through adrenaline-fuelled ups and downs, until we return to the meeting point. The activity will last about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a B licence. The passenger must be at least 10 years old.
The maximum weight on board each quad bike is 225 kg.

The experience takes place all year round.
The organiser has 5 quads available: it is possible to book for a maximum of 5 drivers + 5 passengers for a total of 10 participants.
The route chosen by the guide may vary depending on weather and terrain conditions.
The meeting point is difficult to reach by public transport; we recommend using your own means of transport.
During the excursion it is possible to swap driving if the driver and passenger are both 18 years old and have a B licence.
For those who wish, at the end of the activity it will be possible to organise a wine tasting in a wine cellar (optional and on request) to taste the local wines (cost €15. 00 / €25. 00 per person) .

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
