Beyond the Sassi of Matera, there is more!
Come and discover it with us, taking part in aquad bike excursion in the Matera countryside: in the company of a guide, you will whizz through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub until you reach the Murgia Park, which you will access on foot to venture out and discover the scenic rock caves.
Aone-and-a-half hour experience, of which you will always carry photos and video memories with you!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Matera. We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Once all the participants have gathered and been assigned their quads, the guide will not fail to explain the operation of the vehicle and provide us with all the information we need for a carefree experience. We will then take a test ride to gain confidence in the saddle.
And here we are ready to begin our quad bike excursion: we will venture on an off-road route through the beautiful countryside of Matera, speeding through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub, encountering characteristic dry stone walls and old farmhouses. We will then arrive at the entrance to the Parco della Murgia Materana: we will get off the quad bike and walk into this natural-historical archaeological park for a short walk to discover the rock caves. It will also be an opportunity to take photos and souvenir videos among the rocks!
After leaving the park, we will get back on the quad bike to return to the meeting point, greeting the Sassi di Matera in the background. The experience will last a total of 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 23 years old and hold a B licence valid in Italy. The passenger must be at least 10 years old.
A maximum weight of 220 kg per quad (sum of driver and passenger weight) is required to participate.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first quad bike excursion.
Other information
Important! The quad bike excursion takes place on authorised roads outside the Murgia Materana Park, which can only be accessed on foot in full respect of the territory.
The experience takes place all year round.
Photos and souvenir videos in digital format will be shared with participants in the days following the activity.
There is a refreshment point on site.
The organiser offers a pick-up service for participants staying in Matera, at a fixed cost of €5 one way and €5 return: contact him at the contact details given in the booking email to request the service.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
