Quad tour in the Pollino National Park with lunch in a mountain hut

Is there anything more perfect than aquad bike excursion with lunch in a refuge?

Yes, if traditional Calabrian dishes are served! That's exactly what awaits you on this tour: in the company of a guide, you will venture into the Argentino River Nature Reserve and the village of Orsomarso along a peaceful route.

A4-hour experience, to explore the area with all your senses!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before 11:30 a.m. at the meeting point in Scalea (CS). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this adventure on four wheels!

Once all the participants have gathered, the guide will hold a briefing during which he will explain how to drive the quad bike and provide all the useful information for the experience. We will then take a test drive around the property to get familiar with the vehicle.

And here we are ready to set off on our quad bike excursion: we will travel along an asphalt road that will take us to the entrance of the Argentino River Nature Reserve, into which we will enter and where we will make a brief stop. We will then pass through the historic centre of Orsomarso, a characteristic village where we will make a second short stop.

About halfway along we will reach a mountain refuge for lunch (included): the menu includes a starter, first course, second course, dessert, drinks and wine. All traditional recipes prepared with local ingredients, to explore the area also from a culinary point of view!

We will complete the route by venturing off-road into the Pollino National Park, fording a river to add a touch of adventure to this peaceful excursion. We will finally return to the meeting point, having covered a total of around 18 km. The quad bike excursion will last 3 ½ hours, lunch break included; the total experience will last 4 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence. The passenger must be at least 7 years old.

A maximum weight of 200 kg per pair is required to participate in the activity.

The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time quad rider.

Other information

The experience takes place from June to September and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 booked quads.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

The price includes quad bike tour and lunch, for 1 driver or 1 driver + 1 passenger (2 persons). Driver and passenger, if both have a B licence, can swap driving during the tour.

Please note that options for people with food allergies and/or intolerances are not available.
