Full description
Put a quad bike tour in the highest municipality in Sicily. Put the prehistoric Tholos to explore, in the silence of the fields. Not enough for you?
Then add a picnic stop with salami, homemade mozzarella and local wine. Set off from Floresta (ME), follow the guide and enjoy 1 hour of off-roading through history and authentic nature!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Floresta (ME). Awaiting us will be the guide, who will welcome us and accompany us throughout the excursion.
We will begin with an introductory briefing to learn how to use the quad bike safely, followed by a short test drive on an off-road track. Once ready, we will set off on an adventure!
We will drive along a mixed route between dirt and asphalt, crossing the typical landscapes of the Nebrodi Mountains. Our first stop will be at the Tholos di Floresta, ancient rural stone buildings where farmers once found refuge. We will have the opportunity to visit the interior and discover its fascinating history.
Along the way, we will stop for a picnic stop in the midst of nature: a basket full of typical local products awaits us, with bread, salami, homemade mozzarella, dessert, jams and self-produced honey, all accompanied by a bottle of wine.
After refreshments, we will leave to reach the heart of the town: we will take a tour inside the town of Floresta, among its quiet streets and the charm of a timeless village.
At the end of the excursion, we will return to the starting point after covering approximately 10 km. The activity will last about 1 hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence. There is no age limit for the passenger.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time quad rider.
Other information
The excursion is available all year round.
During the tour, driver and passenger can swap driving, provided they both meet the requirements.
The organiser has 4 quads available that can carry 1 driver + 1 passenger for a total of 8 participants.
The price is per quad and includes the hire of the vehicle and the picnic for 1 or 2 people.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait at the base camp.
