Full description
If you think you need a mask and flippers to observe the sea, this tour is ready to surprise you. In Syracuse you will board an original semi-submarine to explore Ortigia and its seabed from an unusual perspective.
In 75 minutes you will sail along the coast between Castello Maniace, ancient walls, sea caves and glimpses of the Ionian Sea, alternating between views from the outside deck and underwater observation from the panoramic cabin.
All accompanied by the crew, for an unusual adventure that is also suitable for families!
What we will do
We will meet 20 minutes before the indicated time in Syracuse. We will be welcomed by the crew, ready to accompany us to the embarkation point for the start of the experience.
Once we have departed from the port of Ortigia, we will sail along the coast of the island, admiring from the sea its ancient walls, the historic buildings overlooking the coast and the Maniace Castle, one of the most recognisable symbols of the city. Navigation will continue along the Syracuse coastline, past natural cavities carved into the rock, walls shaped by wind and sea, and corners of the coast visible only from the water.
During the excursion we will descend into the submerged part of the boat. Through the large windows we will be able to follow what is happening below the surface, observing the seabed and its inhabitants in total comfort.
We will then return to the outer deck to enjoy the last views of the sea and the city before returning to the port. The activity will last a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The activity is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 3 participants.
The itinerary may be changed or cancelled in the event of unfavourable weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is a semi-submarine equipped with an outdoor viewing deck and an underwater cabin with large windows for observing the seabed.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
