Forget après-ski: in Roccaraso, the evening begins when the sun goes down and the silence of the mountain is lit up by the roar of the snowmobiles.
Over an hour's snowmobile excursion through snow-covered forests, headlamp-lit curves and stops for hot mulled wine that warms you up more than any stove.
And the grand finale? A cosy hut where steaming polenta, sausage and arrosticini await you.
What we will do
The appointment is at 18: 30 in Roccaraso, where the staff will welcome us for registration and the necessary paperwork. Then it's off to the snowmobiles: after the initial briefing on safety and the operation of the vehicle, we will be ready to go.
The first kilometres will be on an easy, flat stretch, just long enough to get familiar with the snowmobile. After about 4 km, we will stop for our first stop: a photo break and a glass of hot mulled wine, perfect for warming up.
We will then resume our ride towards the forest: the headlights will illuminate the frost-white trunks and the path winding between bends and ups and downs. Here we will have another chance to stop, breathe in the fresh air and admire the snowy panorama under the stars. In all, we will cover about 15 km, for a drive of 1 hour / 1 hour and 15 minutes. Return to Roccaraso is scheduled for around 20: 15.
But the evening does not end here: a dinner with polenta, sausage and steaming arrosticini, drinks included, will be waiting for us at La Baita di Bucci Alessandro.
After dinner, at around 9. 30 p. m. , the experience comes to an end. Those who wish, however, can stay a little longer at the table to enjoy the convivial atmosphere and company, without rushing back.
Between the snowmobile excursion, stops and dinner at the hut, the experience lasts a total of around two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is open to everyone from the age of 18 (both drivers and passengers) .
A driver's licence is not required to drive the snowmobile, you only need to be of legal age; bring your ID with you to show it on the day of the activity. Driver and passenger can swap driving during the excursion if both are of legal age.

Attention! Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the activity.
The experience takes place on Friday evenings from January to March, depending on snowpack conditions, and is confirmed when a minimum of 5 snowmobiles are reached.
Important: the price is per snowmobile; each snowmobile can carry up to 2 people. If you are on your own and do not wish to drive or your group is an odd number, you can still participate in the excursion by riding as a passenger on the guide's snowmobile; in this case, there is a reduced rate of €112. 50 selectable in the booking box.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: contact the guide a few days in advance at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to communicate any dietary requirements.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
