Forget the traffic: today you go by Vespa!
Set off from Polignano a Mare and travel along the Apulian coast among cliffs, trulli and historic villages . Stop off in Conversano to visit the Aragonese Castle and taste the local focaccia and continue on to Monopoli for a stroll through the historic centre.
A guided tour of about 3 hours , including gourmet stops!
What we will do
The appointment is at 10 a. m. at the meeting point in Polignano a Mare (BA) .
We will be welcomed by our guide, ready to take us on this journey on two wheels through history, flavours and Apulian beauty. After a briefing, we will turn on our engines and be ready to go!
The route will begin with a panoramic tour of the cliffs of Polignano a Mare and the Abbey of San Vito, after which we will venture along the Costa Ripagnola, among scattered trulli and landscapes alternating between sea, nature and countryside.
From here we will reach Conversano, where we will explore the Aragonese Castle and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, with a stop to taste focaccia in one of the area's historic bakeries.
The tour will continue to Monopoli. We will stroll through the streets of the historic centre, past white houses and small squares, to the old port, to experience the city's most authentic atmosphere and refresh ourselves with an ice cream.
We will finally return to the meeting point in Polignano a Mare. The tour will last about 3 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold an Italian or EU category A or B driving licence, or an international driving permit ( which must be valid and presented on the day of the activity) . An AM driving licence is not accepted.
Passengers must be at least 6 years old.
The experience is of medium/difficult level and prior experience of riding a Vespa or a 125cc scooter is required. If, on the day of the experience, staff deem a participant unfit to ride the vehicle safely, participation may be refused without any refund.
Other information
Please note! The price is per participant. The organiser has 15 Vespas available, each capable of carrying 1 rider and 1 passenger, for a total of 30 participants.
The tour is available from April to October.
Important: on the day of the activity, you will be asked to select your preferred option for vehicle cover:
- Security Deposit: this requires a pre-authorisation of €250. 00 on your credit card, which will be released within approximately 10 working days. In the event of damage to the vehicle, the customer is liable for up to a maximum of €1, 000. 00.
- Supplementary Damage Insurance: at a non-refundable cost of €29. 00 per day, this eliminates the need for a security deposit and reduces the maximum liability for damage to €500. 00.
A valid credit card is required as security for both options. Cash, debit cards or American Express are not accepted.
During the journey, the driver and passenger may take turns at the wheel, provided they both meet the necessary requirements.
Free and/or paid parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
