In Bivongi, an adventure awaits you amidst heroic vineyards and sea views. On board an off-road vehicle, you will explore dirt roads immersing yourself in the authentic nature of the most authentic Calabria.
You will experience stages rich in history, take walks among the rows of vines, and discover the territory and its traditions. Then you will taste four wines accompanied, if you wish, by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses.
Get ready to return home with a new obsession: the wines of the Vallata dello Stilaro.
What we will do
The appointment is in Bivongi in the province of Reggio Calabria, in the authentic setting of the Byzantine Stilaro Valley.
After an initial briefing, we will move by off-road vehicles along a dirt track that climbs up the hill. After about 10 minutes' drive, we will reach the suggestive Monastery of San Giovanni Therestis, a place rich in history and spirituality where we can make a short visit (10-15 minutes) and discover the charm of the local Byzantine heritage.
Back on board, we will continue our route towards the Heroic Vineyards. Here we will begin the walk between the rows of vines, taking a close look at the vines cultivated on difficult but extraordinarily fascinating terrain, while being told about the characteristics of the land and local production.
At the end of the exploration, we will return to the winery, where a tasting of 4 glasses of white, rosé and red wines awaits us, accompanied by taralli or a platter of cured meats and typical local products (to be chosen when booking) . We will also taste Mosto Cotto, a traditional preparation with an intense and authentic flavour, a symbol of the local peasant culture.
The experience will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors or astemious persons will be served fruit juices as an alternative, subject to availability.
The facility is wheelchair-accessible.

The experience takes place all year round, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
When booking, you can choose between the "4 glasses" option, which includes the tasting of 4 wines with accompanying taralli, and the "4 glasses + chopping board" option, which includes in addition to the tasting, a chopping board of local cold meats and cheeses; select your preference in the booking box.
Alternatives are available for people with food allergies or intolerances. You can communicate any needs in advance via the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Dogs are allowed and can participate in the experience, both in the outdoor areas and during visits to the vineyard.
There is free parking on site for participants. The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions.
