In Roseto degli Abruzzi, at the Orlandi Contucci Ponno winery, a food and wine journey awaits you, suspended between the peaks of the Gran Sasso and the breezes of the Adriatic: you will discover how a wine with a strong character and a gentle heart is born, exploring the vineyards and the winery in the Teramo hills.
A 1-hour experience to lose yourself among the rows and toast with 4 glasses accompanied by fragrant local bruschetta!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Orlandi Contucci Ponno winery in Roseto degli Abruzzi (TE), in the splendid setting of the Teramo hills. We will be welcomed by a guide who will introduce us to the history of this winery located a few kilometres from the coast.
We will begin with a pleasant walk through the vineyards located in the surroundings adjacent to the facility. Here we will discover the characteristics of the alluvial breccia soil and the influence of the mountain and sea breezes that guarantee an ideal vegetative cycle for high quality grapes such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and international varieties.
We will then continue with a visit inside the winery, where we will delve into the winemaking processes required to produce balanced wines with a rich personality. The guide will explain to us the winery's philosophy, which aims to revalue the historical clones of the territory while respecting the DOC regulations.
Finally, we will sit down for a technical tasting of four wines representative of the region and the winery: we will taste Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Pecorino, Cerasuolo and the ever-present Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC. The tasting will be accompanied by savoury snacks, such as bruschette bread topped with the winery's own extra virgin olive oil.
The experience will last about 1 hour in total.

Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience with a price on request calculated according to actual consumption on site.
