Have you ever dreamt of sleeping in the trees, with the sky above you and nature all around you? Tree camping on the Gran Sasso offers you this unique opportunity.
Spend a night in ahammock suspended 1 to 5 metres above the ground and savour the spectacular freedom of having only the starry sky as your roof.
A perfect experience for those who love being in contact with nature in its purest form and camping in the open air!
What we will do
Check-in will be by 12 noon on Saturday at the adventure park in Fonte Cerreto (AQ), in the heart of the Gran Sasso.
On your arrival you will find yourhammock already set up at your location in a circular clearing among the trees (or, if you wish, you can set it up together with the organisers).
Each hammock is equipped with a sleeping bag and a sleeping bag and has LED lights to illuminate the night and a protective cover; a headlamp will be at your disposal for any nighttime travel. In addition, you will find a power bank to recharge your phone in case you need it.
You can choose between different configurations for your seat: asingle suspended hammock or a bunk configuration, with hammocks one on top of the other. Depending on your desires, the hammock will be positioned from 1 metre up to a maximum of 5 metres high: in the highest configurations you will be able to climb up and down with a rope ladder and you will sleep with a light harness for added safety.
In the evening, you will enjoy the silence of nature and watch the stars twinkle above you as you swing in your hammock. The clearing will offer you a quiet corner where you can completely disconnect from your daily routine.
To make your experience even more special, you can choose the "overnight + meals included" package, which includes a packed lunch, aperitif and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. All meals will be prepared with local ingredients and served from the park kiosk.
Check-out will be by 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone; children under 18 can participate accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 0 to 3 can sleep in the same hammock with a parent, free of charge.
The park is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The experience is available all year round on the dates indicated in the calendar. A minimum of 4 guests, not necessarily belonging to the same group, is required to set up the camp.
The recommendedarrival time is 12 noon for those choosing the "overnight + meals included" package. In the event of check-in at a different time, please inform the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
Hammock stations are set up in the late morning or early afternoon. After booking, the organisers will be able to advise you on the configuration best suited to your needs, depending on the number and type of guests (singles, couples, families or groups).
Chemical toilets and jerrycans with water taps are available for guests at the campsite, along with biodegradable soaps, in line with respect for the environment (no showers or sinks).
If you have chosen the 'overnight stay + meals included' option, you can request the menu of the day from the organisers before your stay. Please also report any food allergies and/or intolerances: alternatives are available for vegetarians, vegans or coeliacs.
Numerous outdoor activities are available at the park or in the immediate vicinity, such as adventure trails, bike rental and trekking, which are not included in the price.
The hotel is not accessible by public transport, but has free parking facilities.
