An experience that seems straight out of the pages of Il Barone Rampante! Become an arborist for a day with a tree climbing course in Francavilla al Mare, in the province of Chieti.
Learn to climb trees together with professional instructors and spend the night in a hammock suspended between trees from 1 to 20 metres high.
What we will do
Arrival is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday at the meeting point in Francavilla al Mare (CH).
You will be welcomed by tree-climbing instructors to begin the most sporting part of this experience: a course that will teach you to climb trees like a true professional, equipped with all the necessary equipment.
With practice you will be able to climb up to a height of 15-20 metres above the ground, varying according to your level of skill. An instructor will be with you every step of the way to give you confidence and tips to improve your technique.
Around 16:00 you will start to set up the hammock where you will sleep: you can choose the height you want, from 1 to 20 metres above the ground.
Each hammock is equipped with a sleeping bag and a sleeping bag and has LED lights to illuminate the night and a protective cover; a headlamp will be at your disposal for any nighttime travel. In addition, you will find a power bank to charge your phone in case you need it. If you choose to set up your hammock at a significant height, you will be able to descend and ascend with a rope ladder and you will sleep with a light harness for added security.
In the morning you will resume with the tree climbing course to perfect the techniques learnt the day before. The activity will end around 12 noon on Sunday.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for persons aged 16 and over; children under 18 may participate accompanied by an adult.
Good physical fitness and not being afraid of heights are required.
The park has wheelchair-accessible trails; however, the tree climbing activity is suitable for people with good mobility.
Other information
The experience is available all year round on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 persons, not necessarily belonging to the same group.
Chemical toilets and jerrycans with a tap for water, together with biodegradable soaps, are available to guests at the campsite in line with respect for the environment (no showers or sinks).
The facility is not easily accessible by public transport, but has free parking facilities.

If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
