Trekking with alpacas near Ferrara

Romino, Cosmo, Kuka and Fantasy. These names will soon steal your heart!

They will be your companions in adventure on this alpaca walk: together with a guide you will venture into the natural setting of Bondeno, in the province of Ferrara.

And between one caress and another, in about 2 hours you will get to know the territory and these sweet animals!

What we will do

I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Bondeno (FE). To welcome you in my outfit will be me, your guide on this alpaca walk!

On your arrival, I will give a brief presentation on the alpaca: what an animal it is, how it behaves, how to approach it, and all the information you need to live this experience without worries. I will not fail to describe the protagonists of this walk: Romino, Cosmo, Kuka and Fantasy, all with their own unique character! We will therefore visit them in their enclosure and then take them out for a walk.

In the company of the alpaca assigned to us, we will walk around the estate. Along the way, we will discover two neighbouring farms: we will cross land dotted with apple and walnut orchards, a speciality of this area. We will be guided along the route by the scent of these fruits and, if the terrain is passable, we will also cross rows of apples!

After walking about 2 km over mixed terrain, we will return to the meeting point. The alpaca walk will last 1.5 hours; the experience will last a total of 2 hours. The package includes an entrance ticket to the estate park, so you can stay longer and visit the farm on your own. We recommend that you wait until dusk, as our extensive natural surroundings offer spectacular sunsets!

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable from 4 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 0 to 3 who are not taking part in the walk are welcome to join the estate, which they can access free of charge.

The walk is also suitable for people with reduced mobility as it takes place on level ground and in fields without high grass; the only obstacle may be the gravel part of the route.

Other information

The experience is available from January to December and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 single participants or a minimum of 2 couples.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

The estate has 4 alpacas for a maximum number of 4 single participants and 4 accompanying persons or 4 pairs of participants. Participants in pairs will be able to swap halfway through the ride in leading an alpaca.

When booking, you can book for:

• Single participants: people who lead the alpaca for the entire route; for a maximum number of 4 participants.
• Couples: pairs of people who share the leading of an alpaca for half the route; for a maximum number of 4 pairs of participants.

Any accompanying persons may take part in the walk without leading the alpaca or remain on the farm; in both cases, only the park entrance fee, which includes access to the farm and other services at a cost of €4.00 per person, will be paid on site. Leashed dogs are allowed in the park of the estate and may participate in the walk if they are used to the company of other animals and kept at an appropriate distance.
