But how soft are the Marches?
Never would we have thought of associating this adjective with a region, but our walk with alpacas made us change our minds. Take part in this soft adventure near Genga: in the company of a hiking guide and his friendly animals, you will walk to discover the territory of the Pesaro Apennines.
A 1-hour experience in the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Park, among flora and fauna.
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before 15:00 at the meeting point at Piano di Rocchetta near Genga (AN). We will be welcomed by the excursion guide who will accompany us on this soft adventure!
The experience will begin with a brief introduction during which the real protagonists of the day will be introduced: the alpaca couple Macchia and Nok! We will also be explained how to interact with these animals and will have a few minutes to get to know each other.
It is then that our walk in the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Park can begin: we will venture along a dirt track into the oak, maple and hornbeam forests characteristic of the central Apennines. All this in the company of the Macchia and Nok alpacas, which we can hold by the halter, sharing the lead with the other participants. In the meantime, the guide will not fail to provide us with explanations on the territory and the fauna and flora that inhabit this natural scenery of the Marches.
After covering about 4.5 km with an altitude difference of 30 metres, we will finally return to the meeting point. Here we will also be greeted by the other alpacas on the estate: Moka, Chicco and Nebbia! The experience will last a total of 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 5 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
The route is not accessible to persons with mobility problems.

Attention! The experience requires the participation of 2 alpacas for the entire group.
The experience takes place from April to October, excluding July and August.
Any accompanying persons who do not wish to help guide the animal may participate in the experience free of charge; there is a maximum of 1 accompanying person per participant.
Dogs are not allowed to participate.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
