Trekking tour along the Alta Via della Valmalenco and night in a tent

Get ready for an experience that will bring you back in close contact with nature: alongside an expert guide you will walk on the paths through the woods of Valmalenco.

You will try the unique experience of sleeping in a tent, under the stars, and you will be lulled by the sounds of nature.

A real trek that starts from Lanzada and allows you to walk along a stretch of theAlta Via della Valmalenco. It will be a beautiful walk that will allow you to admire wonderful landscapes and meet new friends.

What we will do

We will meet in Lanzada (SO ) at 9:00 am. Here we will meet the rest of the group and the guide who will hand over the tent, sleeping bag and mattress.

We will then get back into the car and head to the starting point of our trek. During the walk, we will be able to chat with our companions, sharing experiences and anecdotes.

At lunchtime we will stop at a scenic spot to eat our packed lunch and recover a little energy. After resting, we will be ready to set off again on the paths through the woods of Valmalenco, which will take us to our destination, which we will reach by mid-afternoon where we will pitch our tent. Around us we will have a large mountain pasture, waterfalls and streams whose running waters will break the silence of the high mountains.

In the evening, when we have finished setting up camp, we will have dinner together. We will be able to cook using pots and cookers that we will have brought from home.

Gradually, as darkness falls, our gaze will be captured by the infinity of stars above us; with a bit of luck we may even see a few shooting stars. We will light a fire and spend an evening together chatting, singing and laughing. Then we will go into the tent to rest and prepare for the next day.

The next day we will wake up and leave the tent to greet the new day and breathe fresh air. We will have breakfast with snacks we have brought from home, after which we will resume our journey. We will once again enjoy our picnic lunch surrounded by nature and then we will set off again on the trails that will take us back to our cars between 16:00 and 17:00.

The experience lasts a total of one and a half days. In total, we will cover 15 km, a positive altitude difference of 800 metres , and walk about 6 to 7 hours each day.

Who it is aimed at

The stages of the Alta via della Valmalenco are within the reach of even the most inexperienced hikers, but you must be trained and prepared to tackle a positive altitude difference of 800 metres in a day. The greatest difficulty will be the weight of the rucksack to carry.

To participate, you must be at least 14 years of age.

Other information

The experience takes place every weekend from June to October. In August , applications can also be made for midweek days. The experience is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants.

Individual accident insurance is optional and can be taken out at a cost of €5 by providing the guide with your name, surname and social security number at least two days before the experience.

Those who wish to stay overnight in one of the refuges along the route instead of a tent can do so by paying half-board on site. For more information, contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation email.

On the day of departure, it is necessary to arrive 15 minutes before the time agreed upon at the time of booking.

• Hiking backpack (minimum 40 litres: tent and sleeping bag must fit inside)

• Jumper or fleece
