Trekking with alpacas in the Tuscia countryside

Which is the funniest couple ever? Laurel and Hardy, Bud Spencer and Terence Hill... or Figaro and Cyril?

Accompany these two very funny alpacas on a 1-hour walk through the countryside of Tuscia Viterbese and discover many interesting facts about these animals.

Let yourself be guided by their (slow) pace and enjoy a fun experience in contact with nature!

What we will do

The appointment is in Bassano in Teverina (VT ) at the meeting point and time indicated at the time of booking.

On arrival at thefarm, we will be welcomed by our guide, who will take us to meet the alpacas Figaro and Cirillo, the friendly protagonists of this experience. Before setting off on the walk, the guide will explain to us how to keep the animals properly and how to behave with them.

We will then immerse ourselves in the Tuscia countryside in the province of Viterbo, carrying the alpacas with halters, along a flat 1.5-2 km route with small differences in altitude, on mainly dirt roads. We will walk through fields and woods until we reach the small church of Madonna della Quercia.

Here we will take a break to rest on the benches in front of the church, while the alpacas graze freely. After the break, we will walk back to the meeting point along a loop road.

The activity will last a total of 1 hour.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 8.

From 8 to 12 years old , children must be accompanied by an adult who will lead the alpaca, while from 12 years old and up it is possible to lead the alpaca alone.

Other information

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.

When booking, you can choose whether to lead the alpaca alone ("single participants") or to share the alpaca with another person ("pairs"). The activity can be carried out by a maximum of 2 single participants or 2 pairs.

Before or after the walk, it is possible to take a guided tour of the herd at an extra cost of €5 to be paid on site. If interested, please contact the guide after booking confirmation.

Dogs or other animalsare not allowed on the premises.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport, with a bus stop 300 metres away. Free parking is available on site.
