Have you ever dreamed of breathing underwater and floating without gravity, surrounded by an enchanting seascape?
Join our Sea Baptism in Aci Castello, just 20 minutes from Catania, and dive for the first time in the turquoise waters of theIsole dei Ciclopi Protected Marine Area. The reserve is rich in natural wonders: from underwater lava explosions to an incredible variety of marine life, such as bream, starfish and small groupers.
Get ready for an extraordinary 1½-hour adventure and take home incredible stories to tell!
What we will do
The appointment is at the diving centre in Aci Castello (CT), at the time selected during the booking process.
After being welcomed by the instructor, we will hold an introductory briefing of approximately 30 minutes, during which we will discover the fascinating history of the Faraglioni dei Ciclopi and the legends surrounding this magical place.
Afterwards, we will prepare for the dive. Our instructor will give us a detailed explanation of thediving equipment we will be using, devoting around 20 minutes to this training session. It will also be an opportunity to dispel any doubts and feel confident and comfortable with all the equipment.
Once ready, we will walk to the dive spot located just below the diving centre and finally enter the water! We will dive to a maximum depth of 6 metres for about 30 minutes, during which we will experience the thrill of breathing underwater while admiring the beautiful seabed of theMarine Protected Area.
In the company of the instructor, we will swim among lava formations, colourful fish such as bream, starfish, groupers, and with a bit of luck, we might even encounter some bream. If conditions permit, we can also take underwater photos to preserve a memory of the experience.
At the end of the dive, we will return to the surface and relax with a short debriefing to share our feelings and emotions. Between briefing and preparation, diving and debriefing, the activity lasts a total of about 1½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 10 years and over. Children under the age of 18 may participate if a parent or responsible adult signs a release form on site.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to be able to participate, it is sufficient to be in good health and not have cardiovascular or other disabling diseases.
Other information
The activity is bookable from June to October.
Accompanying persons are welcome; they can stay at the diving centre during the activity.
The facility has a refreshment area, WC, shower and changing room for changing at the end of the activity.
Up to 6 participants can dive at a time, on a 1-to-1 basis with the instructor.
