Full description

We can’t promise it’ll be easy, but we can promise it’ll be worth it!

If you’re looking for a memorable ride, this is the adventure for you. Hop on your bike and get ready to conquer the summit of Monte Nerone on an e-bike!

In around 6 hours, you’ll set off from Urbino and ride through breathtaking scenery and the legendary Rocca Leonella climb. Once at the summit, you’ll be rewarded with lunch at a mountain refuge and a comfortable return journey by shuttle bus.

P. S. And anyway, with electric assistance, it’ll be a whole different story!

What we will do

We’ll meet 10 minutes before 08: 00 at the meeting point in Urbino (PU), where the staff or guide will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing , we’ll hop on our e-bikes and set off on the ride.

A route of around 50 km awaits us, covering gravel terrain and trails with a total elevation gain of 2, 000 metres. It’ll be a bit of a workout, but the e-bike’s pedal assistance and the majestic landscapes of the Montefeltro will be our best allies against the fatigue!

We’ll cycle towards Urbania to admire the Barco Ducale – Duke Federico’s former hunting lodge – from the outside, before heading into the scenic trails of Monte Montiego. Once we reach the foothills of Monte Nerone, in the village of Piobbico, we’ll take our first refreshment break to recharge our batteries before the most demanding stretch.

This is where the real challenge begins: we’ll tackle the famous Rocca Leonella climb, an iconic stretch of road once featured in the Giro d’Italia and the Granfondo Straducale. The climb will take us right to the summit, where the Rifugio Chalet Corsini will welcome us for a well-deserved final lunch together .

With our stomachs full and our muscles finally relaxed, we won’t have to worry about the descent: we’ll load our e-bikes onto a shuttle and enjoy the view from the window as we ’re transferred to Urbino.

The activity will last a total of around 5–6 hours, depending on the group’s pace and how long we spend at the refuge.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is of medium-to-high difficulty and is aimed at people who are fit and in good physical condition.
