If you always thought that the Sicily of The Godfather was an artfully constructed set, this tour will change your mind!
On a Vespa , you will ride through the villages of Savoca and Forza d'Agrò, past piazzas that have remained unchanged over time and roads that climb the hills of the Ionian coast.
Accompanied by a local guide , you will cover about 50 km in 3 hours, visiting the Bar Vitelli, the Church of San Nicolò, and some of the most iconic views chosen by the cinema to narrate Sicily.
What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time in Giardini-Naxos (ME). Here the guide will welcome us and explain everything we need to know about how Vespas work: timeless models such as the 125 Primavera or the GTS. After the briefing we will climb aboard, ready to set off!
We will leave Giardini Naxos along the roads going up the hinterland of the Ionian coast. Curve after curve the landscape will change rapidly, passing from the sea to the hilly profiles that characterise this part of Sicily. We will reach Savoca, a medieval village listed among the most beautiful in Italy. We will stroll through alleys, stairways and historic squares, stopping at the famous Bar Vitelli and the Church of San Nicolò, the protagonist of one of the most famous scenes in the film The Godfather.
We will then continue our journey towards Forza d'Agrò, a town that still retains the authentic appearance that captivated director Francis Ford Coppola. Along the way we will make several stops at panoramic viewpoints to take photographs and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of these places.
After exploring the main film locations, we will return to the saddle for the return to Giardini Naxos, accompanied by the last views of the coast and Mount Etna. The activity will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a B licence or equivalent international driving licence. For the passenger, the minimum age is 8 years.
Experience in driving scooters is required. The provider reserves the right to assess the driver's driving ability and the suitability of the passenger before and during the activity.

The experience is available from March to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
The itinerary may be subject to change in the event of unfavourable weather conditions.
The tour will take place on board a Vespa 125, Primavera or GTS model, depending on availability. Each Vespa can carry one or two people, so you can choose to travel alone or in pairs; select the corresponding option in the booking box.
Dogs are not allowed.
On-site parking spaces are available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
