Full description
The Oltrepò Pavese is Lombardy’s best-kept secret. But not for long.
Hire a Vespa and get ready to spend a whole day amongst hills, vineyards, castles and villages that look like something out of a fairy tale.
You’ll set off from Cervesina to explore some of the most picturesque corners of the Oltrepò Pavese, following a self-guided route designed to treat you to ever-changing views!
What we will do
The meeting is at 9. 30 am at the meeting point in Cervesina (PV), where you will collect your Vespa. Before setting off, you’ll receive a briefing on how the scooter works , the charging kit, the road book with the detailed itinerary, and everything you need to tackle the tour independently.
You’ll ride through the Oltrepò hills until you reach Casale, where you can admire Count Denari’s historic estate. You’ll then continue towards Pizzofreddo, passing through Donelasco and Torrone, until you reach Golferenzo, one of ‘Italy’s most beautiful villages’, where you won’t be able to resist a stroll through its narrow streets and panoramic views.
You’ll get back in the saddle and head towards Volpara, the land of Moscato, crossing the countryside to the picturesque Lake Molato, before reaching Zavattarello, dominated by the imposing Castello Dal Verme, and then Fortunago, another splendid village from which, on clear days, the view stretches all the way to Monte Rosa.
The tour will continue towards Calvignano, where you’ll stop at the famous ‘Giant Bench’ for a few souvenir photos, before reaching Montalto Pavese and the panoramic Costa del Vento, one of the most spectacular vantage points in the whole of the Oltrepò.
The final part of the itinerary will take you to Stradella, home to the Accordion Museum, before returning via Broni and Lirio to Santa Maria della Versa, bringing your journey through the hills to a close. The hire period lasts for a maximum of 9 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence. Passengers must beat least 6 years old.
During the journey driver and passenger may swap driving if both meet the requirements.
Other information
The experience is available from March to November.
Please note! The organiser reserves the right to require the customer to undertake a preliminary driving test and, should the result be unsuccessful, the tour will be cancelled.
The price is per Vespa; the organiser has 6 125cc Vespas available, each fitted with a mobile phone holder and top box, capable of carrying 1 rider and 1 passenger, for a total of 12 participants.
A credit card will be required as security upon collection of the vehicle. If you do not have a credit card, a security deposit of €300. 00 in cash will be required, which will be refunded at the end of the hire period.
A lead rider service is available on request at an additional cost of €400. 00: please contact the organiser using the details provided in the confirmation email to request this service.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
