Between Locorotondo and Alberobello, there is a place where everything still seems to be as it once was, among ancient trulli and a winery that refines its wines according to ancient methods.
We are talking about the vineyard of Cantina MIR, where we have prepared a picnic in the vineyard with wine tasting that includes 4 glasses of wine and local products, to be enjoyed directly in the shade of the olive trees.
A 1. 5-hour outdoor experience to unplug and breathe in the authentic climate of the Itria Valley!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the appointed time at the meeting point between Locorotondo and Alberobello (BA) . Upon arrival, we will be welcomed in a vineyard immersed in the typical scenery of the Itria Valley, amidst dry stone walls and an ancient rural trullo that has not been renovated, the silent guardian of the area's agricultural history.
Together with a guide from the MIR winery, we will take a leisurely stroll through the rows of vines to discover the secrets of local viticulture and the company philosophy that guides the winery's farming and wine-making processes.
We will then settle down in the shade of the olive trees for tasting time. We will start a real picnic with a guided tasting, focusing on the character of the indigenous grapes.
We will taste 4 glasses of wine from the winery (including the renowned Orange Wine) paired with a delicious typical Apulian aperitif including artisanal focaccia, local olives, taralli and a mixed platter of traditional salumi and aged cheeses from the Itria Valley.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over, as wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over. Underage participants may participate at a reduced rate and will be offered alternative non-alcoholic drinks.
The facility is accessible on request for wheelchair users and pushchairs: please indicate this in advance so that the staff can best organise the visit with an accompanying person.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
