Full description

If you love wine (and who doesn’t? ) and you’ve never visited Usini, now’s the time to put that right.

This small medieval village near Sassari is in fact also known as the ‘City of Wine’ and is an unmissable stop for all wine lovers in the region.

It’s no coincidence that, right in its historic centre, stands the Carpante farm’s winery, which will open its doors to you for a guided tour to discover Sardinia’s native wines.

The best bit? The tasting, of course, featuring three glasses served with local artisan produce!

What we will do

We’ll meet at the specified time at the Carpante farm in Usini, in the province of Sassari, a charming medieval village also known as the ‘City of Wine’. We’ll be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us throughout the entire experience.

We’ll begin by exploring the historic wine cellar situated in the centre of the village. We’ll walk through the areas dedicated to winemaking and bottling, housed within restored buildings, discovering the main stages involved in producing around 30–35 thousand bottles each year. On request, we can also visit the estate’s vineyard and olive grove , with a short drive to get there.

At the end of the tour, we’ll take our seats in the tasting area. On fine days, the experience will take place in the estate’s garden ; otherwise, we’ll be welcomed into an indoor room.

We will taste three glasses of wine, including Cagnulari, Vermentino and Cannonau rosé, accompanied by a platter of locally sourced artisanal produce and bruschetta dressed with our own extra virgin olive oil.

The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over, as wine tasting is restricted to adults. Any accompanying minors may take part free of charge. A non-alcoholic alternative is available on request for those who do not consume alcohol.

The venue and the tour route are not accessible to wheelchair users or pushchairs.

The experience takes place all year round. In the event of bad weather, the experience will take place indoors only.
