Yes, you can watch the stars from your balcony at home. But where’s the adventure in that? !
On this tour in a vintage off-road vehicle, you’ll travel 35 km from Roccaraso to Madonna del Casale, stopping every now and then to spot the nocturnal animals that inhabit the area, including deer, foxes and hares. What’s more, you can enjoy a glass of wine by a bonfire whilst gazing at the beauty of the stars.
Now that’s what you call an adventure!
What we will do
We’ll meet 5 minutes before the time indicated at the meeting point in Roccaraso (AQ). The guide who will be leading us on the excursion will be there to welcome us.
Before setting off, we’ll have an initial briefing on the route ahead and the vehicles we’ll be using: a Toyota and a vintage Land Rover Defender from the 1990s, converted to run on biodiesel. Once we’ve got on board, the guide will take the wheel and we’ll set off along the dirt tracks of the Altopiani Maggiori d’Abruzzo.
Along the 35-kilometre route, the guide will tell us about the local flora and fauna, giving us a close-up look at the area. We’ll be able to observe everything through the window and enjoy the stops, using them to snap a few souvenir photos of the nocturnal animals that inhabit the area, including magnificent deer, hares and foxes.
Once we arrive at Madonna del Casale, we’ll take a seat on the benches in a green space. The organisers will light a bonfire and pour us a glass of wine ( included) , which we can sip alongside some nibbles whilst enjoying a moment of peace and admiring the stars. Finally, after relaxing in the countryside for a while, we’ll get back on board the 4x4 to travel the final stretch of dirt track and return to the starting point.
The activity will last a total of 2. 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for children aged 10 and over. Children under 18 may only take part if accompanied by a responsible parent.
During the experience, the off-road vehicle will be driven by the guide. There are 2 off-road vehicles available: each can accommodate a maximum of 4 participants.
This experience is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties.

The excursion is available all year round.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
