In Loreto Aprutino, 'being above the clouds' takes on a whole new meaning.
During this two-and-a-half-hour visit, you will reach the highest point of the Torre Raone estate, from where you can admire the 30 hectares of organic vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see over the hills of Pescara. Here you can walk between the rows, take a tour of the cellar, and finally taste 3 DOC wines from Abruzzo accompanied by local products!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Tenuta Torre Raone in Loreto Aprutino (PE) in the Terre dei Vestini wine area. We will be welcomed by the estate's guide , who will drive us to the highest point of the estate, located above the hills covered with the estate's vineyards .
At the foot of the Raone Tower, a monument dating back to the 6th century, the guide will tell us about the historical vocation of this extraordinary place and its role in defining the regional oenological identity.
We will continue with a walk through the vineyards, which cover 30 hectares of organic cultivation certified since 1997. During the harvest period (August-October) , we will even have the opportunity to pick the grapes and directly observe their processing, transforming the experience from a visit to a real participation in the production cycle.
Afterwards, we will return to the cellar, where we will be shown the different stages of vinification. We will observe how the grapes are transformed into wine through different ageing methods (steel, wood, barrique, amphora and cement) .
At the end of the visit (which lasts about 45 minutes) the wine tasting will then take place. We will be served three representative wines from the winery: tendentially a white wine (Pecorino or Trebbiano d'Abruzzo) , Cerasuolo and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, accompanied by a platter with pecorino cheese, salami, bread and organic olive oil from the winery.
It will be a convivial moment enriched by historical accounts of the territory, the organic choice, and the visions that have guided the estate to the present day.
The experience will last a total of about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 years and over. The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Minors and people with astemia can participate in the experience as 'accompanying persons' free of charge.
The experience is accessible by wheelchair or pushchair with the exception of the walk in the vineyard, for which it is still possible to arrive at the observation point by car and where the guide will explain: contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to better organise your visit.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
