An ancient 16th century castelliere (castle) guards a modern underground winery within its walls.
Take part in this winery tour with wine tasting in Rovereto, in the province of Trento. A 1 . 5-hour experience to discover first-hand an entirely family-run production.
From a walk through the walls, through an exploration of the underground cellar dedicated to the Metodo Classico, you will conclude with a tasting of 5 labels representative of the estate's personality!
What we will do
The appointment is set 10 minutes before the chosen time at the meeting point in Rovereto (TN). The welcome will take place just outside the historic walls of the 16th-century castle, where the tale of the origins of the structure will begin: from a strategic military outpost to a building used for agricultural activities, up to the purchase by the family in 1872 and the subsequent rational planting of the vineyards.
We will then descend into the impressive underground cellar, built in 1990 right under the vineyard so as not to alter the surrounding landscape. Here we will closely observe all the stages of grape processing, from vinification to the detailed steps in the production of the Metodo Classico, managed in-house right up to disgorging. The tour of the vineyards and cellar will last approximately 45 minutes.
We will then move to the inside room to begin the guided tasting. Five glasses of wine will be served: 3 Trento DOC and 2 still wines selected from the cellar, accompanied by water and breadsticks.
For those who select the optional variant with chopping board (available exclusively for the morning time slot) , the wine tasting will be enriched with products from the Trentino region, with 3 types of cheese, 2 varieties of cold cuts including speck and Slow Food presidia.
The experience will last about 1. 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only; any minors or accompanying persons who are not tasting may participate free of charge.
There is a dedicated 'Le Balterini' box for children, which includes games, breadsticks, chocolate and fruit juices.
Due to the natural architectural barriers related to the historical layout of the castle and the wine cellar, the experience is not wheelchair accessible.

The activity can be booked all year round, from Monday to Saturday.
When booking, you can choose between the "5 wines" option, which includes a guided tour and the tasting of 5 labels, accompanied by water and breadsticks, and the "5 wines + chopping board" option, which includes for adults a chopping board of local cold meats and cheeses, and for children a dedicated box with breadsticks, chocolate and fruit juices and games.
Pets are allowed on the estate; the use of a leash is compulsory and notification of their presence is required prior to arrival.
Gastronomic proposals for the chopping board option may be adapted for celiac and vegetarian participants; please indicate such needs by contacting the facility in advance at the contact details given in the e-mail confirmation of your reservation.
Free parking is available on site, but it is difficult to reach if travelling by public transport only.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions.
