Full description
An experience to discover the trades of yesteryear: the farmer and the breeder!
You will visit an authentic farm, based on respect for the environment and animals. You will meet cows, sheep and goats: you will be able to interact directly with the animals and experience the thrill of milking a dairy goat.
And if you choose to enrich the experience with a tasting session, you will taste homemade goat's milk cheeses!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Mercato Saraceno (FC). Awaiting us will be the guide and Educational Farm Operator, who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with a presentation of the farm: we will discover an authentic and genuine reality, based on respect for the environment and animals.
We will then board the characteristic "Agribus" to reach the animals' stables, which are about 6 km from the farm. We will enter the hilly landscape of Romagna, travelling along country roads dotted with cultivated fields. Along the way, we will listen to stories and curiosities of the area and may even stop to learn more about the crops of the season!
We will then reach the stables, inhabited by animals that live in a semi-wild state and that may be grazing on this occasion. We will first visit the dairy goats: we will enter the cowshed, visit the milking parlour and be able to try milking a goat ourselves (with a taste of fresh milk)! In the vehicle, we will then visit the cows and sheep: we will have access to the various stables and be able to interact directly with the animals.
We will then return to the meeting point. If the "with tasting" option is purchased, the experience will continue at the farm with a tasting of home-made goat's milk cheeses, baked goods and local cured meats, accompanied by a glass of Sangiovese wine grown on the farm.
The experience will last about 1 hour in total.
