A hidden gem in the heart of the Valle di Chio: this farm built in the centre of a historic village looks exactly like this.
During this 1½-hour experience, you will stroll through the 18th-century streets of Pieve di Chio, taste real Tuscan IGT olive oil and wine , and discover how they are produced directly in the cellar and mill.
How many tastings you choose: 2 or 4 glasses of the house, accompanied by EVO oil and local products!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the farm in Pieve di Chio, in Castiglion Fiorentino (AR), in the heart of the Valle di Chio.
We will be welcomed by our guide, ready to tell us about the journey of a historical reality that, after five generations of farming, has chosen to enter the world of wine and oil production.
We will begin our visit at the oil mill, where we will discover the production process of extra virgin olive oil. Walking among the machines and processing areas, the guide will explain how the estate's olive trees are transformed into quality oil, following the rhythms of nature and the principles of organic cultivation.
We will then move on to the winery, where we will visit the grape processing area: here we will discover how the winery's wines, all strictly organic and with the IGT Toscana denomination, are made.
We will continue with a visit to the historic village of Pieve di Chio, a small 18th-century settlement in the centre of which the winery stands, surrounded by 9 hectares of vineyards and 30 hectares of olive groves (some of which can be visited on request) . Here, in addition to admiring the architecture and atmosphere of the past, we will visit the area where the grapes destined for vin santo, the Tuscan raisin wine par excellence, are laid out.
We will finally return to the winery for the tasting, which will take place outdoors or in the cellar, depending on the season, in an intimate and authentic atmosphere, or, for larger groups, in a dedicated room. We will taste 2 or 4 glasses of wine to choose from white, red, rosé and refermented wines, accompanied by 1 or 2 samples of EVO oil produced by the farm's mill. Everything will be served together with a board of local products.
The experience will last a total of about 1. 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. The wine tasting is reserved for adults, while minors may participate as accompanying persons: if they wish to consume the board of local products, their participation fee is €5. 00, otherwise access is free.
The facility is also organised to accommodate people with reduced mobility: after contacting the facility, it is possible to access both the wine cellar and the oil mill, allowing those using wheelchairs or pushchairs to participate.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
