But who is that phenomenon practising aerobatics and evolutions in the air above Castellammare del Golfo?
It is you, who have chosen to take part in our tandem paraglider aerobatic flight: harnessed to a professional pilot, let yourself be carried away by the updrafts above the province of Trapani. A flight of about 15 to 20 minutes, for a total experience of 1 hour.
And because we already know you can't wait to tell your friends about it, the activity includes a video-record shot with GoPro!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Castellammare del Golfo (TP). To welcome you there will be me, a pilot with 20 years of experience and 2 Italian championship victories!
We will board my vehicle to reach the take-off point in about 10 minutes. Here a briefing will take place: I will provide you with all the necessary information on safety regulations and flight phases, so that you can enjoy the experience in peace (and with a pinch of adrenaline).
Once you've donned your equipment, securely harnessed to me, we'll take a short run-up for take-off! Carried along by the updrafts, we will admire Castellammare del Golfo and its surroundings from a unique perspective. There will be no shortage of aerial acrobatics and evolutions in the air; and try asking me to manoeuvre the paraglider myself!
The flight lasts about 15 to 20 minutes, at the end of which there will be a gentle landing near the meeting point. The experience lasts a total of approx. 1 hour (transfer to the take-off point, pre-flight briefing, paragliding flight) and will end with the handing over of a video-recording made with GoPro.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. No specific skills or physical preparation are required, you just need to be able to take a few tentative steps with the rider. The only limit is the weight, which must be between 20 and 120 kg.
Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 must present a written consent signed by their parents. If not presented, they will not be able to take part in the activity and will not be reimbursed.
Other information
ATTENTION: The activity takes place subject to weather and wind conditions at the organiser's discretion. After carefully evaluating the forecast, the day before the planned date of the experience the pilot will send you confirmation of the feasibility of the flight, time and meeting point.
The experience is available from January to December.
At the end of the experience you will be shared via smartphone your video-record shot with GoPro.
