Think a walk in the mountains can't surprise you? Try adding an alpaca and a picnic in the woods.
In Trambileno, in the province of Trento, a 2½-hour experience awaits you together with a guide and three very special companions: Renoir, Vivaldi and Van Gogh. You will walk through the pine forest of Pian del Levro with an alpaca at your side and, halfway through, stop for a picnic with local products and a bottle of wine.
If this is not a perfect plan, we are definitely close!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 14: 00 at the meeting point in Trambileno (TN). We will be welcomed by our guide, ready to show us how special these animals can be.
Before we set off, we will make the acquaintance of Renoir, Vivaldi and Van Gogh: three sweet alpacas with artistic names but hearts of gold! Thanks to an initial briefing, we will learn how to interact with them, establishing a bond of trust right from the start.
Once we are ready, we will begin the walk of about 1. 5 hours, immersing ourselves in the fairy-tale pine forest of Pian del Levro. We will lead the alpaca with the halter in the shade of beech, oak and birch trees along paths immersed in greenery, where the alpaca's slow pace will become our best ally in forgetting the daily hustle and bustle. Along the way, we will have plenty of opportunities to take unique souvenir photos together with our new, friendly-faced friends.
Near the pine forest, a delicious picnic (included) will then be waiting for us, with local products such as cheese, salami, speck and homemade bread, as well as sweets and water. To toast this adventure, we can choose a bottle of local wine (white, red or bubbly) .
After about 1 hour of relaxation, we will calmly return to the starting point around 16: 30. The experience lasts a total of about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 4 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
For safety reasons and to ensure the well-being of the animals, children up to the age of 11 cannot lead the alpaca on their own: they must hold the halter together with a parent, who will hold it on the other side. From the age of 12, however, it is possible to lead the animal independently.
The activity is not accessible to people with mobility problems or in wheelchairs.

The experience is available from April to September.
3 alpacas are available for the walks; depending on the number of participants, 1 alpaca per person or per couple will be allocated.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate any requirements.
Dogs are allowed on the walk as long as they are socialised and kept on a leash.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
