Walk with the world's smallest ponies in the province of Cuneo

Lentil, Cotechino and Mash. They're cute as they are!

These are the names of your next adventure companions: take part in our walk with the world's smallest ponies in Venasca, in the province of Cuneo. You will venture into the natural scenery together with these funny-sized animals, which you can cuddle and photograph.

An experience of over 1 hour, which will delight young and old alike!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Venasca (CN). Awaiting us will be theeducational guide who will welcome us to the farm!

Having gathered all the participants, we will get to know the mini ponies; or rather, the world's smallest ponies! Lentil, Cotechino and Mash are the cute names of these specimens of Dutch origin, real miniature ponies measuring 60-75 centimetres. We will put the halter on them and listen to the educational guide provide us with all the information we need for a carefree experience. This first moment will last about 15 minutes.

And here we are ready to venture out for a walk: we will walk through the natural scenery of Venasca, in the direction of Brossasco. We will enter the grove, following the animal's leisurely pace and enjoying the landscape around us. During the walk, the educational guide will be available to answer questions and curiosities about this particular animal species. The walk is about 4 km long.

We will finally return to the meeting point, where we will feed the mini ponies to thank them for the adventure we shared. The experience will last a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes.

If the "walk + farm" option is purchased, the experience will continue with a guided tour of the farm. In the company of the educational guide, we will meet over a hundred animals, including alpacas, bunnies, baby goats, parrots and chinchillas. The guided tour of the farm will last one hour and can be held before or after the walk, depending on availability.

Who it is aimed at

The participant (person leading the animal) must be at least 8 years old and accompanied by a parent. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating or accompanying parent. Children from 0 to 1 year old participate free of charge: please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence.

The route is not accessible by wheelchair and pushchair. It is advisable to carry any infants in baby carriers.

Other information

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants (persons driving the animal).

The organiser has 3 mini ponies available for a maximum number of 3 participants (persons driving the animal); there is no maximum number for accompanying persons (persons not driving the animal). Each booking that includes at least 1 accompanying person must include at least 1 participant.

The excursion may take place at the same time as the "Walk with alpacas through the woods of Venasca in the province of Cuneo".

Dogs are not allowed.

Enrich the experience with an aperitif: platter of cold meats, cheeses and local baked goods at a cost of €20.00 per person to be paid on site. Options for people with food allergies and intolerances are not available; options for vegetarians and vegans are available. Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
